One of the most important steps in denture care is rinsing your dentures after every meal. This helps to remove food particles and debris that can cause stains and bacteria buildup. Be gentle to avoid damaging your dentures while rinsing.

Just like natural teeth, dentures need daily brushing to remove plaque and food particles. Use a soft-bristled brush and a non-abrasive toothpaste designed for dentures, to avoid scratching the surface. Avoid using regular toothpaste, as it can be too harsh. Be sure to clean all surfaces, including the areas that come into contact with your gums.

When you are not wearing your dentures, it is important to keep them moist to maintain their shape. Soak them overnight in a mild denture-soaking solution. This helps to keep them clean and free from bacteria while ensuring they do not dry out or warp.

Dentures are delicate and can break if dropped. Always handle them over a soft surface, like a towel or sink filled with water, when cleaning or removing them.
